Japan News for May 10th 2011

A scan has surfaced for what is probably a sequel to 7th Dragon for the PSP.  The linked website is blocked at the moment.  Supposedly coming Fall this year.

On the fan review site PSPmk2.  Saigo Yakusoku Monogatari (Last Promise Story) from imagepoch is maintaining a really low E rating.

In continuing the saga of re-releasing games forever, Dragon Quest I・II・III is coming to Wii.  Interesting that they've upgraded to including III now.  famitsu

As previously reported the Growlanser 4 Overload site has updated.

There's still time to vote in Nihon Falcom and Dengeki's poll for favorite Falcom Heroine

And in stuff the west will never get: Rockman phonestraps.

  1. Thanks for the info on the Falcom voting. Mail from Popful Mail got my vote - such a good selection of games, even though they're mostly a cross-section of ports (and the SNES remake). Probably my favourite Falcom games if I'm being honest. Nice blend of cinematics and side-on action-platforming. Great stuff.

  2. Haha! The pictures for Karna and Bammy on the Falcom poll were taken from the HG101 page - they're exactly the same. That's kinda cool!

  3. Gotta admit, I'm looking forward to the Dragon Quest collection (as it contains both the Famicom and Super Famicom versions of the game). It would be neat if they released a Western version that kept the original NES translation for the Famicom games and added an updated translation for the Super Famicom versions. Hopefully, they'll also add old commercials and concept art and whatnot. Basically, I hope Square-Enix goes the Sonic Jam route instead of the Super Mario All-Stars 25th Anniversary Collection route. One can dream, right?

  4. I wonder if Popful Mail will ever hit the PSP.

People would die for that. In droves.
